Guinness Eye Ball Popper

When he is officially recognized for the longest eyeball pop next year, a Brazilian guy will make his striking debut in the Guinness World Records. The record for men is held by Sidney de Carvalho Mesquita, better known as Tio Chico, since his eyeballs stick out an incredible 0.71 inches beyond his sockets. At nine years old, De Carvalho Mesquita found his extraordinary gift while playing with ridiculous expressions in front of the mirror. Although his family was initially worried that his extraordinary talent was an indication of an illness, they were later impressed by it.

Fortunately, that did not happen to De Carvalho Mesquita. He has been able to apply his gift in both his personal and professional life since then, and his goal is to gain recognition for his talents not just in Brazil, but worldwide. “My talent is undeniably a blessing. “It was passed down through generations, including my parents and the creator,” de Carvalho Mesquita informed Guinness World Records.

The current holder of the Guinness World Record found his skill when he was nine years old, making ridiculous faces in front of the mirror. An optometrist can detect the extremely unusual disorder known as globe luxation, which is what causes de Carvalho Mesquita’s eyes to bulge. When his eyes popped out of their sockets, De Carvalho Mesquita said it felt like “letting go of some part of my body.” De Carvalho Mesquita briefly loses vision while completing his feat, but he quickly regains it. Twenty to thirty seconds is all it takes for him to pop his eyes out.

The impressive feats performed by De Carvalho Mesquita are just the tip of the iceberg. De Carvalho Mesquita is not just a gifted musician who enjoys performing live, but also a drummer, DJ, and occasional Addams Family cosplayer who dresses as Uncle Fester. In addition to owning Tio Chico’s Burger, a hamburger delivery service, he works full-time as an electronics industry salesman.

Nominating De Carvalho Mesquita for inclusion in the Guinness World Records was an absolute “dream come true” for him. His wife Egly, who he claims was unaware of his special talent until they were engaged, is his biggest fan and with whom he spends the most of his leisure time. When Egly’s companion asked de Carvalho Mesquita to pop his eyes, he was taken aback by the mesmerizing performance.

The news that his eyeball pop would qualify him for the Guinness Book of World Records filled De Carvalho Mesquita with “pure excitement mixed with elation and ecstasy,” he said. Sidney has the ability to temporarily open his eyes for 20 to 30 seconds. “I am thrilled to be joining the Guinness World Records family. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that will allow my work to be even more recognized,” he stated.

On January 10, 2022, Sidney had his record checked in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Kim Goodman of the United States can pop her eyeballs 12 mm (0.47 in) beyond her eye sockets, which is the record for the furthest distance a woman has ever been able to do it. As of November 2, 2007, she was the one holding the record.
